1st Annual Changing the Narrative Summit for African American Males

The My Brother’s Keeper Initiative of Denver is excited to support the upcoming Changing the Narrative Summit for African American Males hosted by the League of Leadership Mentoring Program. We would like to cordially invite you to the first 1st Annual Changing the Narrative Summit for African American Males. The Changing the Narrative Summit will take placeSaturday March 12th, 9:00am – 4:00pm at Manual High School.


The purpose of the Changing the Narrative Summit is to empower African American Males ages 14-18, increase self-efficacy, develop leadership skills, and eradicate stereotypes of African American men. Our goal is also to create opportunities to develop and solidify mentor opportunities for African American professionals and high school age students in the Denver Metro Area as well as provide participants relevant experiences that will ensure personal growth and social maturity through development in:

  • Education
  • Leadership/Career Exposure
  • Breaking Down Barriers/Stereotypes
  • Social Justice
  • Community Involvement
  • Mentoring
