The Child Law Center’s Youth Empowerment Program has some exciting news for you. They’re recruiting youth!

We have been spending a lot of time the last couple of months getting our infrastructure in place, training our youth leaders (aka our core organizers), connecting with our national partner Foster Youth in Action, and creating a plan.

This program is youth-led and action oriented (specifically with an advocacy lens).  Our core organizers have named the group project Foster Power and we are moving forward with some fun events focused on member recruitment, as well as our first official member meeting in September.

We are specifically recruiting current or former foster youth ages 15 to 25 who are interested in improving the system.  If you take a look at the “Outreach-Partners” attachment, you’ll find our official program flyer with more information.  There are also two flyers attached, which are targeted towards youth – one general outreach flyer and the other an event flyer for our “Summer Series”.
