boys2MEN Workshop - Mo’s Bows: November 12

by co9to25

Moziah “Mo” Bridges is the 14-year-old CEO of Mo’s Bows Handmade Bow Ties; a Memphis-based and family run business.

After trading bow ties for rocks on the school playground, Moziah’s strong fashion sense led him to start his own company at the age of nine. With the help of his mother, and retired seamstress grandmother; Moziah began selling bow ties on his website (mosbowsmemphis.com) and in Memphis retail stores.

Shark Tank’s Daymond John serves as Moziah’s mentor as he continues to grow his business. Mo’s Bows has five employees, including the “CEO of Mo” a.k.a mom Tramica Morris, and granny; who taught Moziah how to sew. The business-minded teenager, who hand picks every fabric and approves every visual element, has sold more than $300,000 worth of bow ties and men’s accessories. In 2012, Moziah started “Go Mo!” a charity focused on sending Memphis children to summer camp.

Come and hear his story! Young men in grades 8-12 are encouraged to attend. Lunch will be provided!

#LeadTheChangeCO, formerly known as the CO9to25 Summit, is now more than a one day event. We are starting a movement for youth and adults to engage their communities in ways they are passionate about. Participants at the summit will use creativity and the arts to innovate social media challenges that will launch across Colorado throughout the year. These challenges will excite youth and adults to practice the skills of listening, speaking, taking action, and sharing to inspire others.

  • Registration for the event via Eventbrite is open and ends Thursday, October 6, 2016.
  • The summit is limited to 125 participants. The attendance cap allows participants to delve deep into the content of the day.
  • Participation is also limited to 7 youth and adults from each organization. The small group size ensures youth and adults from across the state have a voice throughout the summit.
  • We will offer a waitlist and contact those on it if spaces become available. Priority will be given to organizations who have not yet registered. After that, we will allow organizations to register more than 7 participants.
  • The summit cost is $15 per participant, which includes an AM snack bag, lunch and all materials.
