Runaway girl - a real story about human trafficking and a lesson about how we should respond to it.
Pl ease join us for “Human Trafficking-Community Protocol for Response” on October 6th, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Carissa Phelps Esq., MBA, Survivor Advocate, CEO of Runaway Girl, will prepare key decision makers and leaders in the community by equipping them with knowledge and understanding of best practices when responding to severe forms of human trafficking. Tactics and strategies that traffickers use to avoid detection, including: isolation, threats, coercion, force and fraud, will be examined through the eyes and experiences of survivors. During the course participants will examine a set of best practices, protocols, and responses that have led to improved outcomes for survivors and victims. The goal of the training is to have equal representation among all agencies supporting survivors in our community. Since there are a limited number of seats, we are limiting training spots to only a few members from each entity. Additional participants may be placed on a waiting list and accepted into the course once the minimum ratio is met. We currently have sold out half of all available seats! Apply today to secure your place among other providers in the community working towards a collective response to human trafficking. This special event is being held by the Juvenile Assessment Center. |
