Support Safe@Tell… Because it matters.
This school year, a call is received by a Safe2Tell Operator that from a student who was concerned about a young woman who was posting messages on social media that indicated she was suicidal. The caller reported that the girl was being bullied at school and as a result was cutting herself.
A Safe2Tell report is made and sent on to a team from the girl’s school and local law enforcement. A follow-up disposition report was received stating that a school counselor and school administrator met with the young woman’s parents. As a result the parent’s initiated private, outside therapy for their daughter and the school developed a safety plan for this student during school hours. This story is just one example of another possible life saved by a hero brave enough to make that first call.
