Major Duties and Responsibilities:
A. This position is open to youth and young adults ages 18-22.
B. Communicate and collaborate with other diverse youth who are between the ages of 9 to 25.
C. Able to create ideas to connect people, organizations and resources to benefit all young people in Colorado.
D. This position will work in partnership with staff, youth-serving organizations, and other young people from the community. The focus of the work includes participation on the AWARE Project State Management Team to offer suggestions for program and policy improvement.
E. Collaborate to provide improved opportunities and outcomes of young people statewide.
F. Provide support and training to team members and assist them in achieving goals related to youth health and well-being.
G. Assist with collection of data performance measures for quarterly reporting.
H. Data management to include tracking and follow up for Mental Health First Aid.
I. Presenting data in meaningful ways to partners.
J. Coordinate with Program Evaluator and assist with Evaluation Community of Practice.
K. Attend Positive Youth Development training and model positive adult-youth partnerships.
L. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be between the age of 18 – 22
- Knowledge and ability to use social media
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Must have a special interest in youth mental health
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on needs of office and overall priorities
- Ability to exercise discretion
- Organizational skills
- Available to work 40 hours a week
- Provide two letters recommendation (by an adult) that can confirm your contributions to this position, areas of interest (formal or informal) and involvement in the community
- Should be able to work on a data focused team to ensure that data quality and completeness is maintained
- The ability to pass a background check, which includes a motor vehicle records search
Preferred:
- Familiarity with statistics
- Bilingual
