The State of Adolescent Sexual Health: Updates on Programs, Policies, and Funding

by co9to25

Colorado has been in the national spotlight lately, with a staggering 40% decline in teen birth rates in the last five years, largely attributed to increased access to affordable contraception and comprehensive sexual health education and services. Please join us for a brief presentation featuring just a few of the many Colorado initiatives taking place in the field of youth sexual health.

We will also share highlights from the newly-released 2015 State of Adolescent Sexual Health (SASH) Report, which will be available for free in an online format. This report contains the most current data and research on youth sexual health in Colorado, and helps inform programs, policies, and funding priorities across the state.

Guest Speakers:

Greta Klingler, Colorado Family Planning Initiative Manager, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment

Zoa Schescke, Personal Responsibility and Education Program (PREP) Manager, Colorado Department of Human Services

Andie Lyons, Maximizing Success Project Director, Colorado Youth Matter

Light refreshments will be served.

When: Tuesday September 15th, from 4:30-6, speakers from 5-5:30
