HIV/AIDS Awareness and Testing Event called “Take Charge. Take the Test.” is part of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc.’s efforts to help decrease the incidence of HIV/AIDS in the black community and especially among African American women in partnership with several other organization in the Act Against AIDS Leadership Initiative Campaign. We hope to have as many people turn out for this event as possible, so please spread the word, especially on Facebook and websites.
We are excited to have Ms. Phronie Jackson, the national HIV/AIDS Coordinator for the National NCNW Headquarters, join us in hosting this event! Our event partners are the NAACP CO MT WY State Conference, the Denver Branch and Aurora Branch of the NAACP, the Theta Zeta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary, and the Tri-County Health Department.
