UNIQUE LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR MONTBELLO/GVR YOUTH!!
Steps to Success, a positive youth development and youth violence prevention initiative in Montbello, is seeking young leaders to serve on our Youth Advisory Board. This Board will not only plan/participate in community projects and advise the Steps to Success Community Board but also review grant requests and distribute funds to youth-driven projects in Montbello.
Local schools, churches, community organizations and student groups will be invited to apply for funding, but first we need to recruit youth to sit on the board.

Steps to Success is seeking young leaders between the ages of 14-18 to serve on our Youth Advisory Board (YAB). The YAB is a community leadership and grant-giving program for Far Northeast Denver youth. When you join YAB you get to:
- Develop leadership skills
- Impact your community
- Get to know youth from other schools
- Learn about grant reviewing & community organizing
- Advise the Steps to Success Community Board on youth matters
- Address youth needs through community projects and initiatives
Requirements of the Youth Advisory Board:
- Far Northeast Denver resident (Montbello/Green Valley Ranch)
- Willing to work and open to learning
- Desire to make a positive difference for youth in Far Northeast Denver
- High school age, pre-GED
- Previous leadership experience is not required
- Able to handle time-commitment:
- Monthly weekend or evening meeting
- Some subcommittee meetings after school or on weekends
