Do you think about “being the change you wish to see in the world” but just haven’t figured out quite how to do it? Then YouthRoots YouthBoard might be just the place for you to put your talents and energy! The deadline to apply is April 11, 2016. YouthRoots is a one-year student-led leadership program where selected high school students identify and problem-solve around Denver/Boulder’s most pressing issues. YR brings in community leaders and experts to help the youth board define their leadership style in a boardroom, assess community needs, lay out a plan, raise funds, and make grants. They set the goals. They do the work. YouthRoots gives them the support they need.
Applicants must be a high school sophomore, junior or senior in the 2016-2017 school year.
