Job Posting: Tony Grampsas Youth Services Program Administrator
The purpose of this position is to serve as the statewide program administrator and supervisor for the Tony Grampsas Youth Services Program. This statutory program was established to provide state funding for community-based programs that target youth and their families for prevention and intervention services in an effort to reduce youth crime, violence and other high-risk behaviors, as well as to prevent child abuse and neglect. This position provides leadership for the program; develops, interprets and implements policies and guidelines; provides program oversight and management; works with a statutory board to develop and implement policy decisions and statewide funding priorities; manages an annually appropriated budget and related reporting processes; designs grant application, review and selection processes; works with approximately 40-60 funded programs to develop and provide training, technical assistance and monitoring; implements uniform minimum standards for prevention programs; provides guidance for implementation of evidence-based programs; oversees and guides a statewide program evaluation for funded programs; and works collaboratively with other programs, units, divisions, and state agencies to develop uniform processes and leverage resources for communities receiving state and federal dollars for youth wellness promotion strategies. This position provides oversight to the development and implementation of a statewide youth development plan across state and local agencies including integration of this work with the Colorado 9to25 youth systems building initiative. This position directly supervises 3 full time professional state staff. In addition, the position often supervises additional youth interns, state temporary staff.
